CMUC 2010

We will be returning to the sunshine of San Antonio, Texas for the 8th Annual Constraints Management User Conference April 28-30, 2010. The evening festivities of the famous San Antonio Riverwalk provided for a great escape from Conference Activities in 2009, we know 2010 will not disappoint!

The 2010 Conference will offer many more company updates in the new format we started in 2008, as well as offer a few select case studies. Our intention of this format is to allow attendees to follow the progress of a company as they continue their improvements year after year, in order to learn from their struggles and celebrate their achievements.

Pre-Conference activities will include a full day session titled; Beyond MRP, Meeting the Current Materials Synchronization Challenge. Experience the exciting new approach of Actively Synchronized Replenishment (ASR) and you will see why it is quickly being regarded as the most significant breakthrough in materials management since the invention of MRP. We certainly hope to see many returning attendees down in San Antonio in April 2010. Please be sure to loop in your suppliers, and take advantage of group discounts to this event. For more details on the Conference, including topics and schedule, please click here.

Highlights from the Constraints Management User Conference 2009

The 7th Annual Constraints Management User Conference in San Antonio, Texas was a much smaller gathering than we are used to, due to the global economy, but the group that did gather was a strong force and number of attendees did not distract from the content or fun!

Carol Ptak kicked off the Conference with a bang, presenting a very insightful keynote. Attendees raved that her presentation was “absolutely fantastic” and “put a lot of things into perspective”. Thank you, Carol, for joining forces again, and providing such a stimulating start to our conference.

Naturally, the large draw to the Event each year is to hear the Case Study Presentations directly from our clients. We want to extend our gratitude to our clients for their time and effort on their presentations; they again were a great source of learning for the attendees. All of the Award Winning Companies presented a Case Study on their implementations, but in addition we also had the Update Sessions. The update sessions provided a quick snapshot of where past presenting companies are today. Previous award winners and case study presentations showed attendees where their companies are today in their implementations, and the continuous improvement cycle. This was a great opportunity for those new to the concepts to see what it takes to sustain an implementation. We want to thank the following companies for their presentations at the Conference this year; 9Wood, Inc., M.C.Gill Corporation, Romac Industries, Rex Materials Group, Oregon Freeze Dry, LeTourneau Technologies Inc., Midwesco Filter Resources, Inc., Royal Plastics, and Bowden Manufacturing. We appreciate the continued support of our client presenters, not only their presentations, but their presence at the Conference year after year is what makes this such a successful event for everyone!

Finally, the original goal of the CMUC was to bring companies together to learn from one another. In an effort to provide an experience where companies can meet and network with one another, we hosted two cocktail parties and an off-site dinner, all of which were a hit with attendees. Attendees noted to our staff that these events really provided an easy way to speak to other companies in a comfortable, friendly, open environment.

We hope to see you at CMUC 2010 in San Antonio, TX April 28-30!
